Darren operated his own AMP financial planning practice before merging with MBA Financial Strategists in 2007 and becoming a managing partner. Born and bred into financial planning, Darren started in own practice in Adelaide in 2001 then took over his father’s rural practice in South Australia’s mid north two years later when his father retired.
In 2004, Darren was recognised by AMP for his outstanding work with clients by being named AMP National Champion – New Adviser. Darren continues to have strong ties with the rural sector and receives immense satisfaction in helping make a difference to his clients’ lives, empowering them to achieve their goals, both personally and financially.
Darren’s expertise, knowledge and longstanding relationships with clients from various walks of life sees him cover all facets of financial planning, including retirement planning, investment strategies, superannuation, estate planning, wealth creation and insurance. He also specialises in providing advice on self-managed superannuation funds.
Darren also willingly participates in the AMP Cancer Council Pro Bono Program by donating his time to provide invaluable financial advice to South Australian families affected by cancer.
Darren is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® professional and an authorised representative and credit representative of AMP Financial Planning Pty Limited. He is a member of both the Financial Advice Association Australia (FAAA) and Board of Advice Review Council (BARC) and a past board member and former state director of AMP Financial Planners Association.
He is also an accredited media spokesperson for AMP, providing regular commentary on personal finance in News Limited and Fairfax newspapers nationally, on radio and online media.
