We were extremely proud to have been recognised this year as a finalist in several national financial planning awards. In October, the practice was named as one of only three finalists in the national 2017 Financial Planning Association (FPA) Award for Professional Practice of the Year. The FPA is Australia’s leading professional community of financial planners, with approx. 10,000 members around the country.  Members of the FPA must meet even stricter criteria and higher standards than required by law.  This prestigious award acknowledges and celebrates businesses who demonstrate a commitment to delivering excellent outcomes for clients and who have made a notable contribution to their local community.

MBA FS also was thrilled to be named as AMP Financial Planning’s Practice of the Year for SA-NT again this year. This award, previously won by MBA FS in 2016, acknowledges practices that demonstrate high levels of performance across a range of criteria including overall professionalism, provision of high quality advice and a commitment to client service.

In addition, we were delighted to be informed that we will be shortly be added to the Most Trusted Advisers Network – an independent website and initiative of the Beddoes Institute as a way of connecting consumers with professional, high-quality financial advisers who are at the top of their game within the financial industry. The advisers profiled are all licensed and must be members of a professional financial association. Each are carefully selected based on the results of a client experience survey conducted by the Beddoes Institute.

2017 has seen some significant changes within the business. First and foremost, we extend a warm welcome to those clients of Rockford Financial Services who have joined us following the retirement of Bob Whyatt after 42 years as a financial adviser with AMP.

We are also excited to recently welcome new mortgage adviser Darian Lobb who joins Kellie Hills to our mortgage team. Darian, a former Norwood footballer, comes to us from a senior private banking role with Bankwest. He has a wealth of experience in the banking and finance industry in Sydney and Melbourne, as well as an interesting background in sports and talent management. Find out more about Darian on our website here. If you are looking for mortgage or debt management advice, don’t hesitate to make an appointment with either Kellie or Darian via the website, or call Sally at the office. Another recent addition was Sarah Weber as a Client Service Specialist who will specifically provide administrative support to our growing mortgage advice team.
